The Samsung Blackjack, utilizing Windows Mobile, is great when you have a data plan. This plan is around $50 a month, which is much less than previous unlimited data plans that could be up to $80 a month. While the Samsung Blackjack is great, sometimes you need to use a computer. Did you know that you can use the data plan on your computer to access the internet from your computer at near broadband speeds? Well, you sure can!
To access the internet from your computer (desktop or laptop), you will need to use the installation disk to get ActiveSync working properly with your Samsung Blackjack. To make the process easy, connect your Samsung Blackjack to your computer with the provided USB cable. When ActiveSyn launches, choose Explore Device. This will enable you to use Windows Explorer to navigate your Samsung Blackjack. In the devices Windows directory, you will find a shortcut named "Internet Sharing." The easiest way to use the internet is to create a new shortcut to this shortcut (because the original is read-only) and then copy the shortcut to your Samsung Blackjack's Start Menu directory that is also inside the Windows directory. Now you can use the Start Menu on your Samsung Blackjack to get to "Internet Sharing." Simply click "Connect" with the left soft key. Your Windows computer will automatically connect to the internet.
